It's THAT day again.

Today is the first day of the last year in her thirties for MRS. Or, in other words, she turns 39. We’ve been together for the majority of her thirties and despite squirting out two kids, she looks just as young as she did when we started dating. In fact, she usually gets carded when she orders a drink. And just last night she was carded when she bought her ticket to see the Sex In The City movie—which by the way, I’m really pissed she went to see with girlfreinds. I really wanted to see it with her. I don’t know why they call them chick-flicks, we dudes love them just as much as you. If only it was a double feature with Fried Green Tomatos, I would have insisted on joining them. Anyway, your youth, despite your everpresent life-stress, is abundant, honey. In fact you look younger today than you did yeasterday—of course, yesterday wasn’t a great day for you.
The girls and I love you very much, Happy Birthday. Happy Flag Day. And for your birthday you’re exempt from having to do anything for me on Father’s Day.
