My Cool New Wallpaper Is 6,000,000 Light Years Away
I just showed my kids this galaxy that Hubble photographed, a mere 6,000,000 light years away. They have trouble grasping that kind of distance, and why wouldn’t they, so do I. But it kind of make a 6,000 year old universe seem kind of funny, huh? Follow this link to see the rest of the new Hubble images.
And this is pretty cool, too.














Those pictures are amazing, but it’s nearly impossible to put them in perspective on how huge they really are? For instance, how big would our solar system be in comparison to one of the white flecks in the picture?
They should totally have someone hold up a ruler or something as a point of reference.
